The
roof is constructed of engineered scissor trusses. The use of the
scissor truss enables the interior to have a “vaulted” ceiling
creating a sense of more space and openness. The trusses are sheathed
with 1/2" ply, covered with overlapped roofing felt, then covered with heavy gauge metal
roofing (1" x 4" shown, is removed). The
metal roofing provides excellent longevity and no maintenance. Any snow
buildup is naturally shed periodically. The roof is insulated with R40
fibreglass batt insulation and finished on the inside with
5/8"
T&G, v-groove, tightknot, solid pine with 5" exposure. |
